Hi Reader,
First, a quick THANK YOU! We're going to hit our $7,500 fundraising goal for ALK Positive cancer research. Your generosity has been astounding!
In this week's Briefing, we're going to take a break from the heavy stuff.
As you may know, the third book in the Emma Noble series, Noble Reckoning, will be here soon. It's in the publisher's hands. And the waiting begins.
I'm excited about this one. Truly.
Here's a confidential first look at the back-cover blurb of Noble Reckoning for subscribers only.
Fired from the FBI, Emma Noble has seen better days. Unemployed and grieving, she receives a cryptic text from a dead man: Find Nadia.
A missing teenage girl knows the whereabouts of Alexander Volkov, the terrorist behind the inauguration attack that almost brought America to her knees. He evaded capture. Vanished for two years.
Others are hunting Nadia too—killers who will extract information by any means necessary. Emma must find the girl first. No badge. No backup. Somewhere in Florence, Italy, a girl is running out of time.
Noble Reckoning releases late September, 2026.
What happens between now and the day it releases? Well, a lot. Cover reveals, advance review copies, pre-orders, launch events.
There's a 'science' behind releasing a book—the do's and don'ts. One of the 'do's' is to spend gobs of money trying to get it noticed in an ocean of new releases.
I think there's a better way. But I need your help.
In the past I've hired publicists. I've overspent on Facebook ads. And I've worn out my welcome, jumping on every podcast I could find.
The thing I learned chasing big megaphones was that...success is not about megaphones.
It's about whispers.
Thousands of whispers. A great stomping mass of them.
It's no secret that word of mouth is the oxygen that novels (and authors) need to survive. Impassioned readers telling a friend. Regular folks with a few followers posting on social media.
Sharing a positive review online.
This time around, I'm not looking for one publicist. I'm trying to recruit a thousand.
A Street Team.
I'd love for you to be on my team.
One of the perks: a FREE, early release digital copy of Noble Reckoning. You read before anyone. At no cost.
What does the Street Team do?
Read and review Noble Reckoning.
Post the cover reveal of Noble Reckoning along with the new Emma Noble series designs on social media.
Maybe ask your local library or bookstore to carry the series.
Be a grassroots champion, sharing the books with friends and family.
Whispers not megaphones.
I'm going to make it easy for you. I'll send links and images and give you ideas for posts. This won't be a hassle.
The only thing I ask is that, if you agree to be on the team and receive a free book, you'll do your part to spread the word.

"Andy, this sounds like fun, and I rarely say no to free stuff, but I've never read your books. Do I have to have read the others in the series to be on the team?"
Great question.
No. You can read this as a standalone. BUT, I think for your personal enjoyment, it'll be more fun if you've read the other two.
No commitment. You do you.
I think we'll leave it here. I hope you consider joining the team. If you do, I'll send a separate email with more info. This is going to be fun. Thank you!
Happy Friday!
Andy
P.S. For those of you who purchased a paperback bundle from last week's newsletter, I have your order information and they'll be in the mail soon.
